Viewing Photos

Photos are organized into Albums.  You will see a list of albums, a list of photos with captions and dates, and then the photos themselves. Loading the photos may take up to 30 seconds depending on the internet connection.

Commenting, Tagging, Saving Photos

Choose MENU from a photo page for commenting, tagging, and saving Photos

For tagging, start typing a Friend’s name and a list of Friends will appear. You are adding the Friend’s name to the photo.

Photos are saved to the Gallery in a folder called “BFFPhoto.”   Initially, photos may appear in the “Camera” album within the Gallery.  If you use a File folder app like Astro, you will see the photos in the BFFPhoto Folder.  (Astro is an excellent app and we recommend it!!)

Uploading and Editing Photos
Choose Upload. You will be asked to pick a photo. Choose OK when you have the photo you like.   The photo will be shown with options to Edit or Upload. Editing the photo is optional.  Editing the Photo will open the Aviary Photo Editor.  If you Edit the photo and choose Save.  You can then upload the photo.  You will be asked to choose an album and give the photo a caption.  The photo upload will begin.  The photo will be uploaded and a notification will be posted.

There are 3 possible outcomes when uploading a photo.  The photo is successfully uploaded on Facebook.  An error occurs, in that case you will get a notification about the issue.  Sometimes an error may be displayed when the photo is successfully posted on Facebook.  In that case, Facebook received and posted the photo, but did not respond to the app.

If you have edited the photo, but upload fails, you will find a copy of the photo in a folder called BFFPhoto_Uploads

Video – Editing a Photo

Facebook does not let apps upload to the profile album directly.
You can upload photos to another album, go onto the Facebook site, and then make that your profile pic.

Uploaded Video says: Video Uploaded! Facebook did not respond.  Check the video.
Large videos are successfully loaded to Facebook, but Facebook does not always provide a “success” message.  When that happens a video is displayed.  For very short videos, if Facebook provides a success message, it will be displayed.

App speed and performance
This version includes a number of performance improvements, but photo files are large and the initial download of albums with many photos may seem like it taking a long time. Wifi and good internet connections help! Things will be faster after the first download of photo
